We’re selling our 2007 Nissan Serena campervan, which has been our reliable travel companion across New Zealand and is now ready for the next adventure.
The van comes as a fully equipped travel setup, so you can start your road trip immediately without needing to buy additional gear.
We named her “Susanne” 🚐
Here’s everything you should know about your future home on wheels:

🔧 Vehicle Information
2007 Nissan Serena
Automatic transmission
Petrol (runs on 91), although we usually filled it with 95 to treat Susanne well
Odometer: ~228,800 km (may increase slightly)
✅ Green Self-Contained until 07/08/2029
✅ WOF valid until 02/08/2026
✅ Registration valid until 02/10/2026
Extending WOF and registration is very easy in New Zealand and can be done at places like VTNZ, AA, or most local garages. Registration can also be renewed online, so there is nothing to worry about there.

🔋 Electrical Setup
The van has a secondary leisure battery that charges automatically while driving.
When fully charged, it can run the fridge for a week or longer without driving, assuming no additional devices are connected.
Both batteries are in good condition.
Electrical equipment includes:
• Second leisure battery
• Smart charger for the battery
• Power converter / inverter
• USB-A port and standard outlet plug
• 30m CEE cable for powered campsites
• Power strip / multi-socket extension
The CEE cable allows you to connect directly to powered campsite outlets, which lets you run devices or recharge the battery through the smart charger.
The smart charger is very useful when staying longer at powered campsites, because you can recharge the battery without needing to drive.
The power strip allows multiple devices to run at the same time, either from the secondary battery or from campsite electricity.
If the fuse for the secondary battery ever fails, we also include a pack of spare fuses.

🚐 Campervan Setup
The van is fully self-contained and ready for freedom camping.
Included:
• Portable toilet (never used)
• 25L fresh water tank
• 25L grey water tank
We also include a hose with adapter for standard 3/4 inch water stations, allowing the tank to be filled without removing it from the van.

💧 Water System & Shower
The van has an electric water pump tap.
This tap can also double as a simple outdoor shower by clipping it into the open rear hatch.
For warm water we usually used a 5L bottle with a 50/50 mix of hot and cold water, which works surprisingly well.

🍳 Kitchen Setup
The kitchen area has enough storage space for about a week of groceries.
Included equipment:
• 15L Brass Monkey fridge
• Double burner camping stove
• Pots and pans
• Cooking utensils
• Plates, bowls and cups
• Cutlery
The 15L Brass Monkey fridge works very well and easily fits everything you normally need for fresh food.
It can also cool down to freezing temperatures, meaning it can be used as a small freezer if needed.
A small tip from experience:
Moisture tends to condense inside the fridge, especially with vegetables. Placing cardboard or paper at the bottom absorbs the water and prevents puddles from forming.

🛏 Sleeping, Table & Storage
Comfortable double bed setup for two people.
The van worked perfectly for us at around 190 cm height, both in terms of bed length and interior height, and even when lying down there was still a bit of space at the feet.
There is also a table setup inside the van.
Even as tall people we were able to sit upright comfortably, and the table is large enough for four people to eat together.
From experience we can say this is extremely practical when it rains, which happens quite often in New Zealand.
We have already sat inside with four people, and there is enough space on the table for plates, cutlery and even pots.
The footwell is wide enough that two people sitting opposite each other don’t get in each other’s way with their legs.
Storage space is another strong point of the van.
Two 70L backpacks with full travel gear fit easily under the bed, with room left over.
Additional storage areas include:
• The footwell of the bench
• Extra space near the secondary battery

🏕 Camping Supplies (included)
The van also comes with useful travel gear:
• Tent
• 2 camping chairs
• 2 blankets
• 2 pillows
• 2 sleeping bags

⚠️ Minor things to mention
Like most vehicles of this age there are a few small things:
• Rear right door handle has come off
• Some light cosmetic scratches in the clear coat
Nothing structural. The van has been a reliable travel companion throughout our trip.

🧼 Handover Condition
The van will be handed over fully cleaned and organized.
You can expect it to be as clean as you would hope for when picking up a vehicle from a dealership.
We will also:
• clean the water tanks
• provide a full fresh water tank
• include a full tank of petrol
So the van will be ready to hit the road immediately.

Wir verkaufen unseren Nissan Serena Campervan von 2007, der uns zuverlässig durch Neuseeland begleitet hat und nun bereit für das nächste Abenteuer ist.
Der Van wird als komplettes Reise-Setup verkauft, sodass man direkt losfahren kann, ohne zusätzliche Ausrüstung kaufen zu müssen.
Wir haben ihn „Susanne“ 🚐 genannt.
Hier die wichtigsten Infos zu deinem zukünftigen Zuhause auf Rädern:

Benzin (läuft auf 91), wir haben sie aber meistens mit 95 betankt, um Susanne ein bisschen zu verwöhnen.

WOF und Registration lassen sich in Neuseeland sehr unkompliziert verlängern, zum Beispiel bei VTNZ, AA oder vielen Werkstätten. Die Registration kann sogar online verlängert werden.

🔋 Elektrik
Der Van besitzt eine Zweitbatterie, die sich automatisch beim Fahren auflädt.
Wenn sie vollständig geladen ist, kann sie den Kühlschrank über eine Woche betreiben, ohne dass gefahren werden muss (solange keine weiteren Geräte angeschlossen sind).
Beide Batterien sind in gutem Zustand.
Ausstattung:

• Mehrfachsteckdose
Das CEE-Kabel wird benötigt, um Geräte an die Stromanschlüsse auf Campingplätzen anzuschließen.
Der Smart-Charger ist besonders praktisch bei längeren Aufenthalten auf Campingplätzen, da die Zweitbatterie dort geladen werden kann, ohne dass man fahren muss.
Mit der Mehrfachsteckdose kann man mehrere Geräte gleichzeitig betreiben.
Falls die Sicherung der Zweitbatterie einmal kaputt gehen sollte, legen wir ein 3er-Pack Ersatzsicherungen dazu.

🚐 Campervan-Setup
Der Van ist vollständig self-contained.
Mit dabei:
• Portable Toilette (nie benutzt)
• 25 L Frischwasser
• 25 L Grauwasser
Zusätzlich gibt es einen Schlauch mit Adapter für genormte 3/4-Zoll Wasserstationen, sodass der Tank befüllt werden kann ohne ihn aus dem Van herausheben zu müssen.

💧 Wasser & Dusche
Der Van besitzt einen elektrischen Wasserhahn mit Pumpe.
Dieser kann auch als Outdoor-Dusche genutzt werden, indem man ihn in die geöffnete Heckklappe einklemmt.
Für warmes Wasser nutzen wir meist eine 5-Liter Flasche mit 50/50 heißem und kaltem Wasser.

🍳 Küche
In der Küche ist genug Platz für etwa eine Woche Lebensmittel.
Ausstattung:
• 15 L Brass Monkey Kühlschrank
• Doppel-Gaskocher
• Töpfe und Pfannen
• Kochutensilien
• Teller, Schüsseln und Becher
• Besteck
Der Kühlschrank kann sogar in den Minusbereich kühlen, sodass er auch als kleiner Gefrierschrank genutzt werden kann.

🛏 Schlafen, Tisch & Stauraum
Bequemes Doppelbett für zwei Personen.
Der Van hat auch für uns mit ca. 190 cm Körpergröße perfekt funktioniert, sowohl von der Bettlänge als auch von der Innenhöhe.
Es gibt außerdem ein Tisch-Setup im Innenraum.
Selbst als große Menschen kann man aufrecht sitzen, und der Tisch ist groß genug, damit vier Personen zusammen essen können.
Gerade bei Regen ist das sehr praktisch, was in Neuseeland ja durchaus öfter vorkommt.
Wir saßen selbst schon mit vier Leuten im Van, und es ist genug Platz auf dem Tisch für Teller, Besteck und sogar Töpfe.
Der Fußraum ist breit genug, sodass zwei Personen sich gegenüber sitzen können, ohne dass sich die Beine in die Quere kommen.
Unter dem Bett befindet sich außerdem sehr viel Stauraum.
Zwei 70 L Trekkingrucksäcke inklusive Inhalt passen problemlos darunter, und es bleibt noch zusätzlicher Platz.
Weitere Staumöglichkeiten:
• Fußraum der Bank
• Bereich neben der Zweitbatterie
🏕 Camping-Ausrüstung
Mit dabei:
• Zelt
• 2 Campingstühle
• 2 Decken
• 2 Kissen
• 2 Schlafsäcke

⚠️ Kleine Hinweise
Wie bei einem Fahrzeug dieses Alters gibt es ein paar Kleinigkeiten:
• Türgriff hinten rechts ist abgegangen
• leichte Kratzer im Klarlack
Der Van hat uns aber zuverlässig durch ganz Neuseeland gebracht.

🧼 Übergabe
Der Van wird vollständig gereinigt und aufgeräumt übergeben.
Er wird so sauber sein, wie man es sich bei einer guten Dealership wünschen würde.
Zusätzlich:
• Wassertanks werden gereinigt
• Frischwassertank wird voll übergeben
• Tank wird voll übergeben
Der Van ist also direkt startklar für die nächste Reise.
