The Mussel Pot Restaurant, Havelock
Now hiring for our summer season!
Our quirky and iconic mussel restaurant is located at the top of the South Island.
We are looking for some backpacker superstars to join our Kitchen from late September 2026 – April 2027.

[Cook Position]
– A passion for preparing delicious, beautiful food, every day
– Experience in kitchens and food preparation, ideally in a commercial kitchen
– Must be able to work weekends on a rotating schedule
– Must be able to work independently
– High standards of food hygiene
– Average 30+ hours per week, or more during peak months
– Enthusiasm for upskilling and learning new things

• Weekly pay – NZD27 – NZD30/ hr depends on experience.
• Staff accommodation arranged at the nearby hostel, just a 3-minute walk
• Valid work visa.
