Farm Work Opportunity in New Zealand – Live & Work on a Beautiful Farm!

Are you looking for a long term base for your time in NZ? We’re looking for a hard-working, positive team player to join us on our farm until at least January next year. Our ideal start date is early May, but we are happy to wait until as late as early July for the right candidate – the right fit for our team is the most important thing.

We prefer experience, but no worries if you’re new to farming but bring some other relevant skills! If you’re fit, eager to learn, and don’t mind early mornings, and have some relevant skills to bring such as mechanical or experience working in a fast paced physical role, then we’re happy to train you and help you get up to speed.

What We’re Looking For:

– Positive attitude, energy, and a love for working in a team
– Trustworthy, proud of your work, and ready to learn
– Good communication skills and open to feedback
– A desire to take responsibility and enjoy working with systems

Your role will include a mix of tasks, depending on your experience and how quickly you pick things up:

– Milking cows, shed duties, & general farm maintenance
– Allocating feed
– Calf rearing and calving tasks
– Tractor work and other farm duties

What We Offer You:

– Fair pay starting at $24/hour + holiday pay (higher rate if you bring dairy experience)
– 5 days off every 3 weeks – taken as 1 or 2 days at a time, giving you flexibility to explore!

– Living with a partner? They are welcome to live with you, but note we can’t offer enough work for 2 people. However there are farms nearby that will likely have work available, and we may have casual work available at times.

Requirements:

– You must be eligible to work in New Zealand
– Have your own transport (we’re not close to public transport)
– A commitment to stay until at least January 2026
