About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Mindset Marketing team as a Field Fundraising Officer. In this fulltime position based in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch you will be the public face of our company, engaging with potential donors to raise funds for our valued charity partners. With a focus on building long-term relationships, your role will be crucial in supporting the important work our charity clients do within the community.

What you’ll be doing

Approaching members of the public in high-traffic areas to initiate conversations about our charity partners and their causes

Explaining the impact of donations and persuasively encouraging supporters to set up regular giving arrangements

Providing excellent customer service and responding to any questions or concerns from prospective donors

Maintaining detailed records of all donor interactions and ensuring data is accurately captured

Contributing to team targets and continuously looking for ways to improve your fundraising performance

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in a customer-facing, sales or fundraising role, with a track record of exceeding targets

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with the public

Genuine passion for supporting charitable causes and making a positive difference in the community

Resilience and determination to overcome objections and keep a positive attitude

Strong planning and organisational skills to manage your time effectively
