Job Description

Production Assistants / Small Goods team members required at manufacturing and distribution plant in New Plymouth.

2:00pm-10:30pm Monday – Friday

You will primarily be responsible for turning out quality burgers, meatballs, sausages and mince, while lending a hand to keep our production running smoothly, which includes:

  • Working on our production lines, including tray sealing and labelling
  • Assisting with operational tasks including making boxes and cleaning your work station and production room
  • Allocating batch numbers and best before dates to packed products
  • Completing relevant food safety and health and safety forms in accordance with established on-site systems.

Our ideal person will be experienced working in a fast paced and high-pressure work environment, along with:
· Having experience working with fresh food (not essential)
· Have reliable transport
· An eye for detail and a quality focus
· Strong written and numerical skills
· The ability to work in a temperature regulated environment
· Be physically fit and able to manually handle equipment and products
· Excellent time management and organisational skills
· Have the ability to build rapport with your co-workers and have a bit of fun!
