Job Opportunity in New Plymouth, Taranaki – perfect for backpacker with some kitchen experience.
Hours are 2:00pm-10:30pm Monday – Friday and pay is $25 per hour + 8% holiday pay which makes it $27 per hour.
The role is available for 3 months with an immediate start. We have accommodation available or you can find you own.
You will primarily be responsible for turning out quality burgers, meatballs, sausages and mince, while lending a hand to keep our production running smoothly, which includes:
Making and mincing product (you will have to lift 20Kg)
Working on our production lines, including tray sealing and labelling
Assisting with operational tasks including making boxes and cleaning your work station and production room
Allocating batch numbers and best before dates to packed products
Completing relevant food safety and health and safety forms in accordance with established on-site systems
Our ideal person will be experienced working in a fast paced and high-pressure work environment, along with:
· Having experience working with fresh food
· Have reliable transport
· An eye for detail and a quality focus
· Strong written and numerical skills
· The ability to work in a temperature regulated environment
· Be physically fit and able to manually handle equipment and products
· Excellent time management and organisational skills
· Have the ability to build rapport with your co-workers and have a bit of fun!
