Glamping Events Coordinators

Payment: Paid Position ($28/hour + 8% holiday)

We set up accommodation at events with tipi style bell tents as well as sell camping products online.

We are after a new Coordinator/Assistant Manager, with good work ethic and professionalism. 6 months November – April.

Could be a couple. Ideally looking for 1 or 2 persons that will be able to complete 2 full seasons. 2 year WHV

Overview

With a busy event glamping calendar, as well as growing demand for retail tasks, including despatch, content creation, admin and more, our business needs you!

For events this role works closely with the managing director and on site labour to ensure the event runs to plan and clients needs are met.

The role requires professionalism and attention to detail. It also has substantial time on the road, and physical fitness is a must. This has been shared by a couple in the past as a great outcome. Events include festivals and weddings nationwide, however we are based central in Taupo as a beautiful spot to base.

Primary responsibilities – Events

  • Manage and find casual staff – with guidance.
  • Packing and preparing for events.
  • Traveling to and from events. Driving small truck/ vehicle and trailer (manual) with trailer.
  • Lead installs and pack ups
  • Office admin work.
  • Support manager in growth and administration of the business
  • Liaising with event coordinators/clients
  • Warehousing activities and maintenance.
  • Secondary – Retail
  • Warehousing and stock management
  • Retail despatch support
  • Business development and growth – including marketing and content creation
  • Admin and marketing tasks.
  • maintenance
  • Trade Show support of retail manager

To achieve the above tasks you it would be beneficial to have the following..

  • Fluency in English
  • Legal ability to work in NZ
  • Have experience leading people
  • Have experience in the events industry
  • Enjoy traveling and camping
  • Able to work effectively independently
  • Have your own transport (to get to work)
  • Good initiative and work ethic
  • Personable nature with strong communication skills
  • Minimal home based commitments as the role sees you away from base a lot.
  • Physically strong
  • Based in Taupo or have campervan

This role can be shared by two, and has been done in past seasons, with more prep hours for the second added. You will be employed on wages.

Accommodation is limited in Taupo, having a camper might be advantageous to you. This is a very popular role and we have many applicants so please give us time to make contact.

Hours vary from 25 – 60 per week.
